Mojang Studios, Experience MOD and Supply + Demand are bringing Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue to the Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga.
“Excitement for immersive, in-person experiences in the Mississauga community is strong and growing rapidly,” said Square One Shopping Centre director, Stephen Gascoine. “Building on the success of past activations, this is the right place to ‘spawn’ one of our most exciting quests to date. The Minecraft community is incredibly passionate and engaged, and we can’t wait to welcome these fans to Square One for the ultimate Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue!”
Designed as an interactive story-based scavenger hunt, Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue offers attendees a live licensed experience that features real-world recreations of creatures and settings from the Minecraft video game.
“After successful launches that have entertained tens of thousands of people in Dallas, Texas and most recently London, England, we’re excited to bring our first-ever immersive touring experience to Canada,” said Mojang Studios franchise development head, Kayleen Walters. “Finding ways to invite newcomers to our community, and to enable fans to express their love for Minecraft both in-game and out is always top of mind for us, and we can’t wait for Canadians to step into the Minecraft world.”

The creatures and locations featured in the experience include Minecraft block-inspired creepers, skeletons, pandas, spiders, dolphins and more from across seven different realms in the video game franchise.
Attendees will use an interactive handheld device called the Orb of Interaction that will guide them through a quest to rescue a zombie-beseiged village, and collect resources for a life-saving potion.
Upon completion, guests can claim a commemorative post-adventure cape and celebrate their victory with the purchase of a Minecraft memento at the Trading Post shop.
Officially opening on June 20, 2025, Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue will be available to guests of Mississauga, Ontario’s Square One shopping center for a limited time.
The Canadian version of the licensed event was created by Supply + Demand, in close collaboration with Experience MOD and Mojang Studios.
