WhistlePig Whiskey has partnered with Alice Cooper for a non-alcoholic cocktail titled Sex, Drugs, Rock & Dry Old Fashioned to celebrate Dry January.
“I’ve been shocking audiences for years with snakes, guillotines, and enough fake blood to fill the Grand Canyon,” said Alice Cooper. “But now these maniacs at WhistlePig have gone and SHOCKED ME with a non-alcoholic cocktail.
“Sex, Drugs, Rock & Dry Old Fashioned is a lethal injection of flavors proving you don’t need to be drunk to be punk.”
Inspired by the popular shock rock band, the licensed WhistlePig cocktail is created with high-quality ingredients like 100% rye non-whiskey, barrel-aged maple syrup, cordyceps mushrooms, black pepper, schisandra berry, candied lime and damiana herbs.
All proceeds from the sales of Sex, Drugs & Rock Dry Old Fashioned will be donated to Whistlepig’s charitable partner, Giving Kitchen.
Giving Kitchen is a nonprofit organization that provides emergency assistance, financial support and community resources to struggling food service workers across the United States.
“We are so grateful to WhistlePig for partnering with Giving Kitchen to support the resilient food service workers and bartenders who bring joy to our lives,” said Giving Kitchen founder, Jen Hidinger-Kendrick. “Their generous partnership allows us to provide vital assistance and resources, ensuring no one in our industry faces crises alone. Together, we are supporting a community that truly ROCKS.”
The WhistlePig product is currently available for purchase through the brewery’s official e-commerce shop alongside a pre-order option for a limited-edition bundle that includes an exclusive vinyl album for Alice Cooper’s Breadcrumbs.
Limited to 250 units, the special-edition Go Pig Go bundle includes a bottle of the licensed cocktail and a rye non-whiskey-infused vinyl copy of Alice Cooper’s Breadcrumbs album.
In addition, purchasers of the Go Pig Go bundle will be entered into a contest for a chance to hang out with Alice Cooper at a special golf outing and listening party.
“Last year’s Dank January release showed us that fans are here to hang loose, whatever they’re sipping this month,” said WhistlePig head, Meghan Ireland. “No Dry January drinker should miss out on a high-quality Old Fashioned made with real, aged Rye ‘Non-Whiskey’, nor the freedom to be obscene (even if they’re clean).”
Located on a Vermont farm, WhistlePig is an independent craft whiskey brand that uses locally sourced ingredients and a sustainable distilling process to create high-quality rye, bourbon and single malt whiskey.
The licensing partnership with WhistlePig was brokered by Primary Wave Music on behalf of Alice Cooper.
