Tastemakers’ Arcade1Up brand is expanding internationally with a new home arcade product line and distribution partnerships.
The new Arcade1Up products are part of a line called Deluxe that integrates modern technology into a streamlined version of the brand’s ¾ scale home arcade machines.
The four Arcade1Up products in the collection are TIME CRISIS Deluxe, Atari 50th Anniversary Deluxe, GALAGA Deluxe, and Street Fighter II: CE HS-5 Deluxe.
All four of the Deluxe arcade machines feature classic licensed titles from game developers such as Capcom, Atari and Bandai Namco.
“This is an exciting time for us,” said Arcade1Up SLM, Cyrus Rosenberg. “From our humble beginnings just five years ago to announcing we’re going global today – we couldn’t be more thrilled. Our new flagship Deluxe design has been embraced by core gamers and families alike and we’re looking forward to expanding the line with several new releases in the back half of the year including a new franchise for us – TIME CRISIS.”
The TIME CRISIS Deluxe arcade machine features four games from Bandai Namco Entertainment’s arcade shooter game series TIME CRISIS.
This Arcade1Up machine is the first time that the series has been available on an at-home arcade console.
The Atari 50th Anniversary Deluxe arcade machine includes fourteen Atari Classics titles and fifty Atari 2600 titles. This marks the largest selection of game to be released on a single Arcade1Up Deluxe machine.
The GALAGA Deluxe home arcade machine features the classic Galaga sci-fi arcade shooter game from Bandai Namco.
The Street Fighter II: CE HS-5 Deluxe arcade machine features fourteen licensed Capcom games packaged in a design inspired by the Dynamo HS-5 retro arcade machine.
The launch of the new Deluxe product line is intended to support Arcade1Up’s international business operations in Canada, Australia and Europe.
As part of its international strategy, the brand recently expanded its partnership with the photography and gaming distribution company Polyphoto. Polyphoto is an Italian company that primarily distributes products throughout the EMEA region.
“We are happy to extend our relationship with Arcade1Up to get the new line of Deluxe arcade machines in the hands of consumers in Europe and beyond just in time for holiday,” said Polyphoto CEO, Umberto Pirera. “There is incredible passion for franchises like TIME CRISIS and Street Fighter and we know that fans will be excited for these authentic arcade experiences.”
All four arcade machines in Arcade1Up’s Deluxe line will be displayed at the Polyphoto booth at this year’s Gamescom convention and are set for global release later this year.
