BBC Studios has promoted Murilo Hinojosa to the position of VP for consumer products and commercial partnerships across Latin America.
Since he first joined BBC Studios in 2021, Hinojosa has been responsible for growing the Bluey childrens’ brand throughout Mexico and Latin America.
This included securing new territorial agents and managing brand developments in priority markets such as Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, and more.
“Murilo has extensive experience and knowledge of the Latin America market and has displayed a deep commitment to developing BBC’s key brands in partnership with distribution, digital and brand marketing teams,” said BBC Studios SVP, Suzy Raia. “Under his leadership, Bluey has successfully entered the market with great impact and will continue to experience exponential growth over the many years to come. I’m looking forward to working with Murilo to build out the portfolio in LatAm as the BBC looks to expand its footprint worldwide.”
In his new role at the company, Hinojosa will oversee the strategic licensing expansion for multiple global entertainment brands in the region including Bluey, Doctor Who, Top Gear, Hey Duggee and BBC Earth.

Before joining BBC Studios, Hinojosa served as VP of licensing for Latin America in Hasbro’s eOne division.
His prior experience in the industry also includes positions with Discovery Communications, Loop Brands, Exim Licensing Group and ITC Licensing.
