Blonde Sheep Licensing has been named the official global master licensee for the Thyssen Bornemisza National Museum in Madrid, Spain.
Founded in 2015, Blonde Sheep is a global licensing agency and consultancy service that specializes in connecting brands with manufacturers and retailers to bring high-quality consumer products to market.
The agency has significant experience working in the licensing industry across multiple product categories, age demographics and retail tiers.
“By partnering with Blonde Sheep Licensing, we hope to bring the beauty of our collection to a broader audience and foster a greater appreciation for art in diverse and unexpected ways,” said Museo Thyssen head, Ana Cela.
As the Thyssen Bornemisza National Museum master licensing partner, Blonde Sheep will be responsible for developing an extensive line of licensed products based on notable works from the museum’s artistic collection.
The upcoming range of licensed Thyssen Bornemisza National Museum products will include items from retail categories such as apparel, accessories, home décor, gifting and more.
“We are honoured and excited to embark on this collaboration with Thyssen Bornemisza National Museum,” said Blonde Sheep Licensing CEO, Natasha Dyson. “By combining the timeless beauty of the museum’s collection with our expertise in licensing, we aim to create high-quality products and integrate art into people’s daily lives.”
Officially inaugurated in 1992, the Thyssen Bornemisza National Museum features a large collection of European and American art spanning from the early Renaissance period to the 20th century.
The collection was initially amassed by the Thyssen-Bornemisza family before its acquisition by the Spanish government to launch the National Museum.
The museum has been housed in the Villahermosa Palace located in Madrid, Spain since it was first opened in the early 1990s.
Some of the notable artists featured in the collection are Vincent van Gogh, Edgar Degas, Berthe Morisot, Édouard Manet, John Singer Sargent and Paul Cézanne.
The Thyssen Bornemisza National Museum says its primary motivation for the new licensing representation partnership with the Blonde Sheep agency is to further extend the reach of its portfolio of artistic works to a wider global audience.
