Brand Central has been selected to represent the licensing rights to the Calypso beverage brand on behalf of the King Juice Company.
Created in 1985, the Calypso beverage brand offers more than a dozen flavors of shelf-stable lemonade, limeade, and zero sugar drinks.
Calypso has experienced rapid expansion over the last five years and is now distributed in over 20 countries worldwide.
The brand aims to increase its growth into additional markets and consumer demographics by developing a licensing program with Brand Central.
“The Calypso brand is one of those rare brands that combines a passionate consumer base, a great product and fun, unique branding that applies well to consumer products,” said Brand Central CEO, Ross Misher. “When you pop open a Calypso, it’s a vacation in a bottle and who doesn’t want a product that delivers a little taste of vacation?”
Under an exclusive multi-year agreement, Brand Central will extend the Calypso brand’s licensing program into new product categories such as frozen desserts, candy, snacks, lifestyle and more.
“Brand licensing is a great way to extend Calypso into new categories while still delivering the brand’s unique island inspired flavors and taste of the islands’ sensibility,” said Calypso CBO, Matt Andersen. “The team is excited to have Brand Central as its partner to support our vision given Brand Central’s experience, breadth and depth of licensee relationships, and capabilities.”
Brand Central is a global licensing and brand consultation agency that provides a range of services to its clients.
These services include brand extension, product management, trend intelligence, manufacturer representation and more.
Brand Central will be available for meetings with potential licensees at the upcoming Sweets and Snacks Expo and Licensing Expo 2024 trade events.
