Cadillac has partnered with the Surgeon footwear brand for an exclusive collection of Cadillac-inspired custom sneakers.
Each Surgeon sneaker style in the collection is directly inspired by the electric vehicle models in Cadillac’s luxury automobile portfolio.
This includes inspiration from Cadillac models like the Lyriq, Celestiq, Optiq and Escalade IQ.
“Cadillac’s design philosophy celebrates transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary, individualizing what is common into something that is distinctively yours,” said Cadillac executive director, Bryan Nesbitt. “Cadillac has the desire to set the standard for American luxury, just as Dominic and his team have set the standard for American craftmanship and bespoke design in the sneaker industry.”
The Surgeon footwear development team worked directly with Cadillac designers and artisans at the General Motors’ Design Center in Michigan to incorporate elements from the specific vehicle models.
This includes vehicle design elements such as custom textiles, stitching techniques, interior leatherwork, upholstery patterns, paint colors and more.
“Collaboration and craftsmanship are at the forefront of what we do at Surgeon,” said Surgeon founder, Dominic Ciambrone. “With our unique, custom designs, we strive to push boundaries and inspire. We are excited to team up with Cadillac for a collaboration inspired by their products that have also pushed boundaries with their authentic, American luxury designs.”
In addition to the Cadillac EV-inspired sneakers, Surgeon has been chosen to create a custom sneaker pair for Cadillac brand ambassador and professional tennis player Frances Tiafoe for the US Open tennis tournament.
As a vehicle sponsor for the US Open tournament, both the Frances Tiafoe line and the full Cadillac EV sneaker collection will be on display at the 2024 US Open Fan Experience in the Cadillac Showroom.
One pair of the Frances Tiafoe sneakers will be auctioned through the Charity Buzz platform to support the USTA Foundation’s Frances Tiafoe Fund.
Available exclusively through the Cadillac Signature website beginning on September 8, 2024, each variety of Cadillac EV-inspired sneaker will only offer five pairs for purchase.
