Dr. Seuss Enterprises is launching a new brand called Dr. Seuss Babies for the infant category that features tiny versions of classic Dr. Seuss characters.
To support the new brand’s launch, Dr. Seuss Enterprises is kicking off an extensive licensing and merchandising program featuring the Dr. Seuss Babies.
The Dr. Seuss Babies program will include a range of licensing partners that specialize in the creation and development of infant and baby products.
The Dr. Seuss Babies merchandising program has already signed several licensing partnerships with Playtex Baby, Hello Bello and Posh Peanut for a variety of infant products such as onesies, feeding solutions and diapers.
Dr. Seuss Enterprises is currently in negotiations with several other prospective licensees to launch additional branded product collections throughout 2025.
“Babies and toddlers love to discover the world around them,” said Dr. Seuss Enterprises CEO, Susan Brandt. “Dr. Seuss Babies will help them explore, learn, and laugh. Our hope is that this brand inspires and delights a new generation.”
The Dr. Seuss Babies brand will also be featured in a collection of interactive board books through Random House Children’s Books’ Dr. Seuss Publishing division and a special Dr. Seuss Babies animated series called Learn to Read.
The first title in the Random House Children’s Books’ Dr. Seuss Babies board book series is titled Happy First Birthday! and will be published on Jan. 7, 2025.
The licensed Happy First Birthday! board book will feature pint-sized versions of Dr. Seuss characters such as the Cat in the Hat, Thing One and Thing Two.
The Dr. Seuss Babies x Random House collection will release two new books called Mr. Brown on the Farmin May and Merry Grinchmas Baby! in September 2025 and three more titles will launch in 2026.
“We are so excited to bring this adorable new line of books to the youngest of Dr. Seuss fans,” said Dr. Seuss Publishing editor, Alice Jonaitis. “With the eye-catching new art style, the beloved characters have become even more baby-friendly and will help nurture a love of reading at the earliest age.”
The Dr. Seuss Babies animated Learn to Read series will be featured on the official Dr. Seuss YouTube channel starting on August 16, 2024.
