The Australian series Bluey is set to kick off with Sesame Street’s Elmo and Cookie Monster reading “What Games Should We Play?”, marking the first live-action read in the series.
The popular audiobook series will also feature a star-studded cast of human readers as well. Other notable narrators include Helena Bonham Carter (“Queens”), Michael Sheen (“Road Trip”), Rose Byrne (“Baby Race”), Elijah Wood (“The Pool”), Sophie Okonedo (“Sleepytime”), Kurt Fearnley (“Camping”), Meg Washington (“Bob Bilby”), and Auliʻi Cravalho (“Shadowlands”).
The series also embraces a global audience with foreign-language narrations: Diane Kruger reads “Camping” and “The Creek” in German, Camille Cottin returns with a French rendition of “Camping,” and Han Ga-In presents the first Korean read of “Baby Race”.

Bluey Book Reads combines off-screen narration from global talent with visuals from Bluey storybooks and live action shots. The digital original series offers fans a new way to experience their favourite Bluey storybooks, based on episodes from the TV series.
Bluey Book Reads has garnered significant acclaim, with its first series amassing over 75 million views since its February 2024 debut. The series has earned accolades such as a Lovie Award and the Best Web/App – Branded Series at the 2025 Kidscreen Awards. The official Bluey YouTube channel boasts over 10 million subscribers and 7.5 billion lifetime views.
Beyond digital content, Bluey‘s global licensing program continues to expand. BBC Studios has introduced new partnerships across various categories, including apparel, toys, arts and crafts, and food products. Notable collaborations feature Moose Toys, Disguise, and Party City Holdings Inc. The franchise has launched products in over 49 countries, with more than 20 million books sold in over 20 languages. In the U.S., Bluey ranked as the #2 preschool toy character property in 2023, while securing the #1 preschool license spot in both the UK and Australia.
The franchise’s reach extends to live experiences, including the touring stage show Bluey’s Big Play, which is visiting audiences across the U.S., Europe, and soon Asia and the Middle East. An immersive experience, Bluey x CAMP, has also been introduced in cities like Chicago and Boston.
Looking ahead, Bluey fans can anticipate a feature film adaptation set for a 2027 theatrical release, followed by streaming availability on Disney+. The film aims to bring the Heeler family’s adventures to the big screen, further solidifying Bluey‘s status as a global phenomenon.
