Ferrero North America has partnered with Funko and Warner Bros. Discovery to bring licensed Funko Pop! x DC collectibles to its Kinder candy brands.
Through the collaboration, the company has developed two licensed candy collections for its Kinder Joy and Kinder Chocolate labels. The deal was brokered through Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) division.
Kinder Joy is releasing a new lineup of Funko toys that feature DC Super Heroes and Super Villains like Green Lantern, Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Harley Quinn and more.
The Funko POP! toys are paired with Kinder Joy Eggs that are filled with soft chocolate, sweet cream and cocoa cream-filled wafer bites.
“Creating special moments for families is at the core of our brand ethos, which is why we’re thrilled to bring parents an exciting new way to surprise their children,” said Kinder Joy USA VP, Amber Hansinger. “DC is a global giant, and our Kinder Joy Limited-Edition DC Funko POP! Eggs let fans connect with some of their favorite characters in a fun and exciting way.”
Kinder Chocolate will be launching licensed chocolate bars that include limited-edition DC packaging and one of eight exclusive trading cards.
The Kinder trading cards feature designs based on well-known characters from the DCU.
“At Kinder Chocolate, we aim to provide parents with small but impactful ways to create a connection with their children,” said Kinder Snacking VP, Shalini Stansberry. “We hope that our exclusive DC Funko POP! Kinder Chocolate bar allows families to bond over their love of DC in exciting new ways.”
