Factory Entertainment has partnered with DC Studios to produce a line of licensed prop replicas for the Aquaman film franchise.
Factory Entertainment, Inc. is a manufacturer and distributor of toys, collectibles and home goods featuring licensed entertainment properties. The company is known for its expertise in crafting high-quality replicas of movie props.
The licensing partnership is intended to support the release of the upcoming feature film, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The film will serve as both a sequel to the 2018 Aquaman film and as a part of the broader DC Extended Universe film and TV franchise.
The first item in the replica prop collection is a reproduction of the helmet worn by Aquaman‘s foe, Black Manta, from the 2018 Aquaman movie.
“Aquaman became the highest grossing DC Comics film of all time for good reason,” said Factory Entertainment CEO, Jordan Schwartz. “Part of its success was doubtless due to the gorgeous production design, including the amazing costumes, which remained faithful to, while subtly updating, the look established in the comics. One of the most memorable costumes was Black Manta’s battle suit, with its iconic helmet.
Star Trek Licensing: Factory Entertainment To Go Where No Collectibles Have Gone Before
“As Aquaman prepares to return to the screen in 2023, we are thrilled to have been able to work with Warner Brothers to bring a replica of Black Manta’s helmet to collectors.”
The limited-edition Black Manta Helmet replica features light and sound effects that are intended to simulate the helmet’s laser weaponry from the Aquaman film. Only 250 of the replica helmets will be created by the manufacturer. Each Black Manta Helmet replica will be individually numbered and will include a certificate of authenticity.
The prop is currently available for pre-order through Factory Entertainment’s website and select luxury collectible retailers.
Later this year, Factory Entertainment will release several other high-end prop replicas inspired by Warner Bro’s upcoming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom feature film.
Further details on the extended Aquaman prop replica collection will be revealed closer to the film’s debut. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is scheduled for theatrical release in the U.S. on Dec. 25, 2023.
