Genius Brands now offers more than 5,000 episodes of children and family programming, saying it has acquired new content for its Kartoon Channel! from Entertainment One, Zodiak Kids, and ABC Australia.
Beginning this month, Kartoon Channel! will stream three My Little Pony Specials, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, Ricky Zoom and season one of the PJ Masks music videos in addition to shorts from the hugely popular Peppa Pig. Additionally, the Company has acquired the rights to a slate of content from Zodiak Kids, including Horrible Henry and Lilybuds, as well as Wiggles World from ABC Australia.
“Our goal remains to build out Kartoon Channel! to be the most successful destination of hit kids programming anywhere,” said Jon Ollwerther, who is both President of Kartoon Channel, and EVP of Business Development for Genius Brands.
“Unlike other streaming services, Kartoon Channel! is free,” noted Ollwerther. “This latest acquisition of programming from our content partners, including eOne, Hasbro’s global entertainment studio, Zodiac Kids and ABC Australia, represents the caliber of hit content we will continue offering to our growing audience. and we are thrilled to add this powerhouse programming to the Kartoon Channel! line-up.”
Kartoon Channel! remains the top rated kid’s app on both Apple iOS and Android, and features animated classics for little kids.
Some of the content on Kartoon Channel! includes The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, Babar, Mello Dees, Super Simple Songs, and Baby Genius, as well as hit content for bigger kids, such as Pac-Man, Angry Birds, and Yu-Gi-Oh!, to original programming like Stan Lee’s Superhero Kindergarten, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, KC! Pop Quiz coming soon, and Shaq’s Garage, starring Shaquille O’Neal for 2022.
Kartoon Channel! also offers STEM-based content through its Kartoon Classroom!, including Baby Einstein, and more.
