Spin Master and Corus Entertainment have announced the premiere of a licensed PAW Patrol spin-off series called Rubble & Crew.
The new series, produced by Spin Master Entertainment, follows the adventures of Rubble, a well-known character from the original PAW Patrol series, and his construction family as they work together on various projects in the town of Builder’s Cove.
“As a proud member of the PAW Patrol, Rubble has stolen the hearts of preschoolers around the world with his loyal, optimistic nature and love of treats,” said Spin Master president, Jennifer Dodge. “Our new series expands Rubble’s world and showcases the importance of family, combined with high-stakes action, fun adventures and messy demolition that preschoolers will love.”
Rubble & Crew is animated by the Toronto-based studio Jam Filled Entertainment. The series was executive produced by Jennifer Dodge, Ronnen Harary, Laura Clunie, Toni Stevens, and Bradley Zweig, with direction by Dianna Basso and Joey So.
“PAW Patrol has been a beloved pre-school favourite for the past decade, and we’re excited to welcome Rubble & Crew to Treehouse,” said Corus Entertainment SVP, Jennifer Abrams. “This new series continues our commitment to showcasing the best in Canadian animation for our viewers.”
This year marks the 10th anniversary of PAW Patrol, and the franchise will continue to grow with a theatrical movie sequel called PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie.
The upcoming movie is set to be released Oct. 13, 2023. It will be produced by Spin Master Entertainment, Nickelodeon Movies, and Paramount Pictures, with distribution by Elevation Pictures.
