Krispy Kreme and Kellanova have launched a partnership for a licensed doughnut collection inspired by the Pop-Tarts brand.
Available for a limited time, the Krispy Kreme Crazy Good collection features three doughnut varieties based on Pop-Tarts Frosted Strawberry, Frosted Chocolate Fudge and Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon.
“Krispy Kreme and Pop-Tarts are coming together for the very first time—you know the result will be Crazy Good,” said Krispy Kreme CGO, Dave Skena. “Krispy Kreme and Pop-Tarts fans will love kicking off the year with this delicious collaboration!”
The Frosted Strawberry flavor is an unglazed strawberry-filled doughnut that is topped with shortbread icing, sugar sprinkles, shortbread pieces, a strawberry drizzle and a Frosted Strawberry Pop-Tarts Bite.
Krispy Kreme’s spin on Frosted Chocolatey Fudge is an Original Glazed that is dipped in chocolate icing and topped with brownie batter buttercreme, white nonpareils and crushed Frosted Chocolatey Fudge Pop-Tarts Bites.
The Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon variety is made with a cinnamon sugar doughnut that is topped with brown sugar cinnamon cream cheese buttercreme and a Frosted Cinnamon Roll Pop-Tarts Bites piece.
“Pop-Tarts aren’t just for the toaster—they can infuse culinary creativity to delight consumers,” said Kellanova GM, Jessica Waller. “Krispy Kreme has done an incredible job bringing this opportunity to life, combining their iconic doughnuts with the beloved flavors of Pop-Tarts to create a truly one-of-a-kind experience for fans of both brands,” added Waller. “We’re proud of this partnership to bring Crazy Good to doughnuts and doughnut lovers in unexpected ways.”
Officially released on January 6, 2025, the licensed collection is available for purchase through Krispy Kreme’s e-commerce app, website and in-store retail locations.
The co-branded doughnuts can also be acquired as a six-pack box through select grocery retailers.
Owned by the Kellanova food company, Pop-Tarts is a shelf-stable toaster pastry brand that first hit the retail market in 1964.
The licensing rights to the Pop-Tarts brand was managed by Kellanova’s Away From Home division.
