Kidscreen Summit 2022 in Miami, Florida has again been postponed due to concerns about the omicron variant.
Florida has experienced a drastic increase in hospitalizations related to COVID-19 in recent weeks as the state saw close to 400,000 cases reported from Dec. 31 to Jan. 6.
According to data from Johns Hopkins University, Florida ranked fourth in disease transmission rates among all states in the US after the New Years weekend.
Due to these health hazards, the conference has been rescheduled for July 18 to 21. All existing live registrations and sponsorships will be transferred to the rescheduled event.
Kidscreen has maintained their standard cancellation fee. If a registered business is unable to attend the new event dates and needs to cancel their registration, a 50% cancellation fee will apply.
Kidscreen Summit Virtual will be going ahead as planned from March 7 to 11. All attendees who are registered for the live event will have access to the digital event.
“We recognize that it’s not the same experience as meeting in person, but our hope is that it still helps people make and maintain industry connections in Q1,” says Jocelyn Christie, Kidscreen’s SVP & Publisher.
Kidscreen Summit has grown into the world’s leading conference on the childrens’ entertainment business. Held in February 2020, the last Kidscreen Summit conference brought more than 2,200 attendees for business networking.
Registration is currently open for both Kidscreen Summit Virtual and the rescheduled Kidscreen Summit live event.
