Warner Bros. Discovery is releasing new licensed consumer products collections for the ongoing 80 Years of Tweety anniversary celebration.
The Tweety character is a part of the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of animated cartoons. The character debuted in the 1942 short, A Tale of Two Kitties. Since its initial debut, the character has been featured in numerous films, TV series, comic books, and merchandising programs.
The new licensing collaborations will span the categories of fashion, accessories, collectibles and home goods. The product collections will be released in time for Tweety’s official 80th birthday Nov. 21.
Looney Tunes and the luxury fashion brand MCM are releasing a 30-piece collection of bags, accessories and apparel featuring the licensed Tweety character.
The ecommerce retailer and free-to-air shopping channel, QVC is releasing a Looney Tunes Tweetin’ Tweety 80th Anniversary Plush, while the consumer electronics accessory company, PopSockets is launching a series of grips and phone cases featuring Tweety designs.
LeSportsac is collaborating with Looney Tunes on a line of crossbody bags featuring Tweety and other Looney Tunes characters. LeSportSac is a lifestyle brand that specializes in bags, luggage, and accessories.
The WB Shop is releasing an exclusive Tweety 80th anniversary collection featuring select Tweety-inspired mural designs on merchandise and apparel. The mural designs are sourced from the 80 Tweety anniversary-themed murals that were released in major cities around the world during 2022. The last murals in the campaign will be completed this November.
