Skidos and Rovio Entertainment recently launched a licensed collection of educational Angry Birds mini-games through Skidos gamified learning platform.
“We’re excited to see Angry Birds take on the role of educational companions,” said Rovio brand licensing head, Katri Chacona. “This partnership with Skidos brings together our characters’ humour and energy with a purposeful, inclusive learning environment. It’s a fresh way to introduce younger audiences to the Angry Birds world while supporting emotional and cognitive development.”
Currently available through the Skidos mobile app and online platform, the two companies have launched a suite of licensed Angry Birds mini-games for children aged 4 to 7.
The licensed games feature well-known Angry Birds characters like Red, Chuck, Bomb and more.
The characters are used to guide kids through interactive activities like aligning catapults, tapping objects and solving story-based puzzles.
Through these interactive activities, the games promote skills like logical thinking, emotional awareness and creative expression.
“Our partnership with Rovio is a natural synergy blending the global appeal of the Angry Birds universe with Skidos’ strength in inclusive, gamified learning,” said Skidos’ COO, Prashaant Lunawatt. “This collaboration goes beyond brand alignment; it’s a mission to transform screen time into meaningful, joyful learning. Together, we’ve created an engaging and accessible platform that supports children’s growth, academically, socially, and emotionally.”
Each game included in the Skidos x Rovio collection has been designed with accessibility features such as integrated voice-over support, simplified navigation, sensory-friendly visuals and intuitive touch controls for neurodiverse learners.
“At Skidos, our mission has always been to make screen time developmentally rich,” said Skidos CEO, Aditya Prakash. “This collaboration with Rovio indicates our commitment to designing content that supports the whole child, academically, socially, and emotionally. Angry Birds brings a level of universal appeal and familiarity that makes this new learning journey exciting for children and reassuring for parents,” added Prakash. “We’re happy to offer a fun, inclusive learning experience that adapts to how each child learns and grows.”
In addition to the Angry Birds content, Skidos offers an expansive collection of over 1000 gamified activities built by a team of educators and technology specialists.
The partnership between Skidos and Angry Birds was brokered by IMG Licensing on behalf of Rovio Entertainment.
Rovio Entertainment is a global interactive gaming company that specializes in creating, developing and publishing mobile games and entertainment IP.
The licensing rights to the Angry Birds franchise are owned by Rovio Entertainment and its parent company Sega Europe Limited.
