Running from Aug.16 to Sept. 17, 2024, the “Lunar Masterpiece” collection showcases the iconic work of Hokusai, one of Japan’s most influential artists.
Hokusai (1760–1849) remains a seminal figure in the Japonisme movement, which significantly influenced European art in the late 19th century. His woodblock prints have permeated various art forms and popular culture, from fine art to modern media. He is best known for the world famous woodblock print “The Great Wave,” which remains one of the most popular artworks in the world today.
The “Lunar Masterpiece” collection draws inspiration from Hokusai’s work “Lilies,” known for its simple yet vivid portrayal of flowers native to Japan. The print’s minimalist composition and striking color palette create a powerful image, reflecting Hokusai’s revolutionary approach to printmaking that combined traditional Japanese techniques with Western influences. His innovative work left a lasting impact on global art, revolutionizing the art of printmaking in Japan and around the world.

The “Lunar Masterpiece” Mooncake Box, priced at MYR 288, or roughly $66 USD, includes a selection of four mooncake flavors from an eight-flavor assortment. Choices include Pandan Lotus Paste, Rose Red Bean Paste, White Lotus Paste with Single Egg Yolk, White Lotus Paste, Mixed Fruits & Nuts, Salted Egg Yolk Lava, Chocolate Lava, and Durian King.
For those preferring individual mooncakes, they are available for MYR 47.00 each. All mooncakes are Halal-certified, catering to a diverse range of guests.
