Electronic Arts has released the Ultimate FIFA Soundtrack in collaboration with the music streaming platform Spotify.
The Ultimate FIFA Soundtrack consists of 100 songs from EA SPORTS FIFA video game soundtracks released over the last 25 years. Forty of the songs on the official playlist will be featured in the FIFA 23 video game, alongside the launch of the FIFA World Cup update that is coming on Nov. 9.
In addition, the band Gorillaz has released a new track called Baby Queen for the FIFA 23 game. A custom Gorillaz kit will be revealed in FIFA Ultimate Team on Nov.17.
“For the past quarter century, EA SPORTS FIFA has been a destination for new music from up-and-coming artists and superstars alike,” said Steve Schnur, President, Music at EA. “Every fan has their favorite FIFA tracks, and this playlist is the ultimate celebration of the music that has defined discovery, diversity, and excellence for generations of gamers,” added Schnur.
“Originally, FIFA soundtracks reflected global culture. Then they began to influence culture. The Ultimate FIFA Soundtrack proves how and why they’ve become culture.”
The Ultimate FIFA Soundtrack was created through nominations by FIFA fans using the Spotify streaming platform. Beginning on Nov. 2, EA SPORTS collaborated with Spotify to make over 1,000 songs from the FIFA Soundtrack back-catalog playable in one place. The most popular songs from the expansive playlist were chosen for the final 100 song playlist on Nov. 7.
The top five most listened to EA SPORTS FIFA songs on Spotify are Heat Waves by Glass Animals, The Nights by Avicii, You Should See Me In a Crown by Billie Eilish, On Top Of The World by Imagine Dragons, and Ojitos Lindos by Bad Bunny, Bomba Estéreo.
The FIFA 23 video game was developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
