The Bench streetwear brand has selected Brand Liaison to lead its licensing expansion across Latin America and the US.
As Bench’s official representative, The Brand Liaison will seek new licensing partners for the brand that will bring additional products, collaborations and experiences to these key markets.
The agency will focus on seeking licensees that will expand Bench’s existing portfolio of streetwear-inspired apparel and accessories.
“At Bench, we set out to maximize functionality without ever compromising comfort or style,” said Bench Americas IP Holdings director, Peter Wood. “We do so by making sure every detail counts; from our custom embossed eyelets, monogrammed waistbands, and our much-loved signature thumbholes. Now, through our licensing initiatives, we can provide stylish, versatile apparel products around the globe,” added Wood. “And we could not find a better agency to help us expand our U.S. footprint than Brand Liaison.”
First founded in Manchester in 1989, Bench is a British streetwear brand which designs, sources and markets skateboarding and BMX-inspired clothing and accessories.
Since its initial debut, Bench has grown into an international clothing label that is known for its bold graphic t-shirts and functional streetwear offerings.
“Everyone I know in Canada and UK all know Bench,” said The Brand Liaison president, Steven Heller. “So the USA is just the next logical step. With the immediate support of department stores, club, off-price channels and e-commerce, Bench is already on its way to a becoming a national brand here in the US.”
The Brand Liaison will showcase Bench at Booth E-154 during this year’s International Licensing Expo in Las Vegas.
