The international toys and games trade fair Spielwarenmesse has just released new dates for its upcoming toy fair in 2024.
The 2024 Spielwarenmesse trade fair will run from Tuesday, Jan. 30 to Saturday, Feb. 3, at Nuremberg’s exhibition center. The new days for the fair reflect a change from past years where the trade show ran from Wednesday to Sunday.
The schedule change was made due to the results of the annual footfall analysis and survey conducted among exhibitors and visitors to Spielwarenmesse 2023 by the trade fair’s organizer Spielwarenmesse eG.
The survey showed that the majority of participants considered Sunday an unsuitable day for the business-to-business networking event. This conclusion was drawn by both German and international participants of the trade show.
“In addition, many attendees expressed a preference for an additional day during the week,” said Spielwarenmesse eG Spokeperson, Christian Ulrich. “At the same time, we’re sticking to the Saturday after listening to the needs of our specialist retailers, who continue to play an important role.”
The 2024 Spielwarenmesse event will be the 73rd edition of the international toy and hobby trade fair. Since the first edition of Spielwarenmesse took place in 1949, the event has expanded to become the largest international trade exhibition for the toy and game industry.
The trade show features approximately 2,900 exhibitors from 68countries across the globe. More than 62,000 industry professionals from more than130 countries attend the annual event for networking, trend analysis, and brand discovery.
The Spielwarenmesse fair is organized by the international trade event organizer and marketing services provider Spielwarenmesse eG. In addition to organizing the Spielwarenmesse event, the company also assists in the development of the stationary exhibition Insights-X, the international marketing program World of Toys, and the business-to-business trade exhibition Kids India.
