Universal Monsters, Cloudco Entertainment and UP&E have launched a partnership that combines Care Bears with licensed characters from Universal’s classic horror franchises.
The licensed monster mash-up will include a wide range of releases such as apparel, beauty, stationery, Funko Pop! figures, home décor, collectibles, plush, health care products and fashion accessories from Loungefly.
“Partnering with Universal Products & Experiences to blend the endearing world of Care Bears with the legendary Universal Monsters is a delightful surprise for our fans,” said Cloudco Entertainment head, Robert Prinzo. “We’re excited to unveil a distinctive collection that combines two worlds our fans never imagined would meet.”
The Care Bears x Universal Monsters products will feature co-branded character collaborations like Grumpy Bear as Frankenstein’s Monster, Good Luck Bear as The Creature from the Black Lagoon, Cheer Bear as The Bride of Frankenstein, Tenderheart Bear as Dracula and Bedtime Bear as a The Mummy.
The first Universal Monsters Care Bears collection is being launched through the Hot Topic retail company with select items available now and additional product drops planned throughout the summer and fall.
The upcoming fall collections will be available through Universal’s official UNIVRS stores at the Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood, Hot Topic and additional retailers throughout the U.S.
Universal Monsters is a collection of classic horror brands from Universal Pictures that originated from the golden age of Hollywood monster films.
The Universal Monsters brand currently represents Frankenstein’s Monster, The Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula, The Wolf Man, Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Mummy, Phantom of the Opera, and Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde.
Known for its popular Care Bears brand, Cloudco Entertainment is a global children’s entertainment and IP development company.

Universal Products & Experiences (UP&E) is the dedicated licensing division of the NBCUniversal entertainment company.
