Dr. Seuss Enterprises has hired merchandising veteran Ellie Terveen as the company’s new director of retail sales.
“I am so grateful to be joining the team at Dr. Seuss Enterprises, helping to move on their vision of promoting literacy and imagination through Dr. Seuss’s iconic works.” said Terveen. “In this new role, I look forward to leaning on my extensive experience in merchandising to strengthen the incredible work this beloved property is doing.”
Using her considerable experience in the retail and sales industry, Terveen will manage all of Dr. Seuss Enterprises’ business partnerships with both in-person and e-commerce retailers in the U.S. and abroad.
Terveen will be a key contact for those working in the licensing industry, as she will also work to expand the Dr. Seuss’ brand by overseeing its licensing, marketing and merchandising programs.
As part of this oversight, Terveen will work to facilitate communication and collaboration between the brand’s retail licensees and the company’s dedicated marketing, licensing, and international teams.
“Ellie has a proven record of not only heightening retail marketing and merchandising programs for impressive brands, but also being a standout leader, driving teams to exceed their goals,” said Dr. Seuss Enterprises CEO, Susan Brandt. “I am thrilled to welcome Ellie to the team; with such an impressive background I am excited to see how she advances as Dr. Seuss Enterprises expands.”
The appointment of Terveen is intended to strengthen Dr. Seuss Enterprises continuing efforts to grow their merchandising program through multiple cross-category licensing and retail partnerships.
