BBC Studios Brands and Licensing has promoted Suzy Raia to Executive Vice President, Global Consumer Products.
BBC says the move signals the company’s continued investment in its brand portfolio and licensing strategy.
In her expanded role, Raia will oversee global brand partnerships, retail development, and product innovation across BBC Studios’ IP slate, including Bluey, Doctor Who, and BBC Earth. She will continue to report to Nicki Sheard, CEO of Brands and Licensing, and remain based in New York.
“I continue to be grateful for being surrounded by a world-class team as we take Bluey to the next level and bring audiences the most epic moment yet, the Movie!,” Raia said. “I’m looking forward to not only the future of Bluey but the future of BBC Studios as we continue to build out our brand portfolio and maximize the capability we’ve built globally.”
The appointment follows a restructuring of the division in 2024 aimed at unifying global operations and accelerating brand growth across key markets.

Raia previously served as Senior Vice President, where she was instrumental in scaling Bluey worldwide through partnerships with licensees and retailers.
Under her leadership, the brand has received multiple industry accolades, including the 2025 Toy of the Year Award for “License of the Year” and the 2024 Licensing International Excellence Award for “Best Brand – Animated.”
“Show to Shelf is central to how we grow our brands globally — it’s about making the magic audiences see on screen part of their everyday lives, and Suzy has been pivotal in championing that philosophy,” said Sheard. “Her ability to understand what fans want and turn that into meaningful consumer experiences ensures our IP resonates far beyond the screen.”
Raia brings more than 25 years of experience in consumer products and brand management, including nearly two decades at Nickelodeon working on properties such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Paw Patrol.
Looking ahead, Raia will play a key role in steering the consumer products business as BBC Studios builds out new brand ecosystems, including its global eCommerce proposition and the rollout of the Bluey feature film in 2027.
