True Purpose Enterprises has created a Group Board to represent the interests of its subsidiary agencies The Point.1888, Spotlight.1888 and Story.1888.
The new Group Board will consist of True Purpose Enterprises’ CEO and CCO alongside members of each agency’s senior staff. The Group Board’s newly promoted senior staff include Hannah Redler as retail director, Sarah Crimes as marketing director, Martin McLaughlin as creative director, and Matt Earles as finance director.
“The route to success in retail and brand licensing has transformed almost unrecognisably since we launched retail-first brand extension in 2015,” said True Purpose Enterprises’ CEO, Will Stewart. “Retailers, licensees and brand owners need new and different ways to activate licensed brands at retail, and sales cannot be generated without specialist marketing support built on talent, grit and strategic thinking.
“That is why we took the decision three years ago to create Spotlight.1888 and Story.1888, with True Purpose Enterprises as the parent company.”
The Point.1888 is a brand licensing agency that specializes in securing partnerships with retailers and manufacturers to boost revenue, brand awareness and consumer engagement. The agency has expanded significantly since it initially debuted in 2014.
“Having grown The Point.1888 alongside Will for the last five and a half years, it’s remarkable to see how far we’ve come,” said True Purpose Enterprises’ CCO, Bethan Garton. “The new businesses we have launched have been in response to the market needs, our reputation, and recommendations from across the industry and we are so excited to see what the next few years holds.”
The creative marketing agency Story.1888 was launched in 2020 to support the needs of The Point.1888’s growing client base. Story.1888 provides services such as product branding, style guides, marketing strategy, content creation and campaign management.
Although it was initially created as an extension of The Point.1888, the business has expanded to represent clients independently. These independent clients include brands such as Comic Relief and Percy Pig.
Spotlight.1888 was created in 2021 as a retail-focused brand licensing specialist. The goal of Spotlight.1888 is to assist licensees with retail strategy and to assist retailers with licensing strategy.
“Each business we have launched has reached key growth milestones in half the time of the previous business,” said Stewart. “As CEO of a group of growing businesses, I need the right leaders and directors in the team to ensure we continue to deliver our exceptional service to our clients. As a sole founder, I am so proud and honoured to have Bethan, Hannah, Sarah, Martin and Matt to help lead the businesses. This is just the beginning of True Purpose Enterprises, watch this space.”
The Group Board has been created to manage the growth and long-term success of each of True Purpose Enterprises brand licensing businesses.
