Wasserman Music has added two new industry experts to their roster of experienced employees, including a new VP of Brand Partnerships.
The new hires include Adam Krefman (pictured above right) as the new Vice President of Brand Partnerships and Greg Horbal (above left) as a licensing agent.
Wasserman Music is a global brand licensing agency that represents musicians for live performances, tours, brand partnerships and more. Wasserman Music’s agents specialize in long-term artist development strategies for musical artists.
“The people and culture at Wasserman are only surpassed by the insanely talented roster of artists,” said Krefman. “I’m inspired and humbled by the opportunity, and can’t wait to get to work on building meaningful partnerships with brands on behalf of our clients.”
Adam Krefman comes to Wasserman Music following six years at Pitchfork/Condé Nast, where he served as Executive Director of Festivals and Activations. During his time at this company, Krefman worked on deals with brands such as Pandora, MailChimp, Vans, and more.
Adam received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 2006. Throughout his career, he has secured high-level partnerships and opportunities for independent artists in the licensing and music industry.
“Adam is a highly experienced professional who has dedicated his life to amplifying independent voices and artists, from his work with Dave Eggers at McSweeney’s to David Chang at Lucky Peach and through his many years with Pitchfork,” said Sam Hunt, Wasserman Music’s EVP & Managing Executive. “He will be an incredibly valuable resource, benefitting all our clients as they work alongside him on career strategy and brand building.”
Greg Horbal joins Wasserman following seven years of experience at the Agency for the Performing Arts. As he transitions to Wasserman Music, he brings with him musical clients such as Alex G, Cavetown, Chloe Moriondo, Indigo De Souza, Pinegrove, The Walters, and more.
“Greg Horbal’s knack for discovering new and developing talent is outstanding,” said Jackie Nalpant, Wasserman Music’s EVP & Managing Executive. “We feel that the commitment to artists and the insight he brings to the team are invaluable and we’re so pleased to welcome him to Wasserman Music.”
Before he began his career as a licensing agent, Horbal worked as a multi-instrumentalist for the indie band, The World is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die.
“Throughout my career I’ve admired the work and commitment of Wasserman Music’s agents to delivering for their clients and I am excited to start the next chapter of my career with this team,” said Horbal.
In addition to these new hires, Wasserman Music has also recently launched a new Artist Marketing & Digital Strategy department that provides expertise in Tour Marketing, Digital Strategy, Ticketing and Live Streaming.
