Dr. Lisa Williams has announced World of EPI is rebranding and restructuring into a new umbrella organization called The Dr. Lisa Company.
The newly restructured company will serve as the umbrella organization for three key divisions: toys and publishing, animation and strategic licensing.
The organization’s rebranding as The Dr. Lisa Company is intended to reflect its strategic approach to expanding multicultural representation in the children’s entertainment and toy industries.
“When I founded World of EPI 20 years ago my mission was to inspire children to see their beauty, brilliance, and power reflected back to them and to foster imagination during positive play,” said Dr. Lisa Company CEO, Lisa Williams. “Representation matters, and through this expansion, we are heightening our role in a multitude of areas where I know we can continue to make a difference. And on a more personal level, our hope is that The Dr. Lisa Company inspires current and future entrepreneurs, as well as others, to truly follow their dreams.”
As part of the company’s expansion, Dr. Williams has appointed Lee Clemons III as its new EVP of sales, licensing and partnerships.
Clemons brings over 28 years of experience as a retail executive in the global consumer products industry.
His expertise includes market share expansion, brand management, client relations, contract negotiation, new product development, retail execution, strategic initiatives, and more.
“Lee is an analytical strategist with keen business acumen and a passionate understanding of the goal of The Dr. Lisa Company,” said Lisa Williams. “I am thrilled to have him on our team to help us in the expansion of our business in providing developmental skills and inspiration to all children, ensuring they see their beauty reflected in dolls, books, toys and content,” Williams added. “Building self-esteem is the cornerstone of all the work I do because low self-esteem can limit a child’s potential and have a negative impact on communities and society at large.”
Since the company’s initial launch in 2003, the Dr. Lisa Company has specialized in manufacturing dolls that feature unique and authentic face sculpts, custom-blended skin tones, and natural hair textures that represent the real diversity that is present in people across the globe.
The Dr. Lisa Company can be found at Booth 2779 at this year’s edition of the New York Toy Fair from Sept. 30 to Oct. 3, 2023.
New licensing and retail partnerships will be announced by The Dr. Lisa Company in the coming weeks.
