Cloudco and Hunter Unveil Some Sick New Madball Toys

October 1, 2025

TLL Staff

Cloudco Entertainment has just unveiled the next evolution of its Madballs line, the ‘Sick Series’, produced with licensee Hunter Products.

Cloudco is, of course, best known for its sweet as sugar Care Bears IP, but it also is the owner of the Madballs franchise, known for its monstrous designs and gross-out humor.

Cloudco says the ‘Sick Series’ marks a major evolution in Madballs product innovation, introducing all-new character feature balls. Each includes squeezable, expandable liquid bladders, that are packed with various plastic ‘grossities’, such as spiders, scorpions, brain fragments, and other random bits of unpleasantness.

“We love the innovation that Hunter has brought to Madballs toys, and its new ‘Sick Series’ further leverages the brand’s ‘gross-out fun’ DNA as it expands into new territories with ever-growing fandom,” said Sean Gorman, President of Cloudco Entertainment.

Hitting the market next year in 2026, the new line showcases what Cloudco describes as the modern evolution of Madballs, while staying true to its roots as the universally acclaimed “OG gross-out brand of the ’80s”.

This follows the successful U.S. launch of other Madballs toys this year at Walmart, as well as an expansion of retail placement into the UK, EU, and New Zealand markets.

Other products in Hunter Product’s Madballs toy line include: Core Madballs (aka, the “Gross Out Series 1”), “Fuzzy” Madballs featuring ‘real’ plastic hair, a Madballs Slime Lab, and “Madballs Capsules,” which are ‘blind’ collectible mini-Madballs.

Launched in 1986, Madballs became an instant hit toy line, further bolstered by a consumer products licensing program that included video games, comic books, apparel, lunchboxes, trading cards, and collectibles.

“Madballs has always stood out for its originality, and the Sick Series takes that energy to the next level,” said Hunter CEO Luke Hunter. “This latest range pushes the brand into bold, new territory that kids, collectors, and anyone who appreciates a good laugh will enjoy.”
