Hubman and Chubgirl Bring Strawberry Shortcake to Hand-Drawn Stationery Collection

July 2, 2026

Hubman and Chubgirl, the stationery brand known for its hand-drawn illustrations, has partnered with WildBrain to launch a Strawberry Shortcake-inspired stationery collection.

The collaboration was brokered by WildBrain’s leading licensing agency, WildBrain CPLG, and facilitated by Born to License, which guided Hubman and Chubgirl through every stage of the licensing process, from initial agreement through creative development and launch.

This release marks Hubman and Chubgirl’s first foray into licensing, with Strawberry Shortcake becoming the first licensed character to be redrawn in Chubgirl’s signature style.

“Strawberry Shortcake has always had a sweetness that connects generations, and Pecca’s hand-drawn reimagining of the character captures that magic in a way that feels completely fresh,” said Born to License CEO David Born. “This launch is exactly the kind of collaboration we love to be part of.”

Founded by husband-and-wife team Pecca and Chris, Hubman & Chubgirl began as a passion project dedicated to making journaling more creative, approachable, and fun. What started with hand-drawn doodles and late-night order packing from their home has grown into an international stationery brand with a team of more than 30 people across Toronto and Houston.

Today, Hubman & Chubgirl is known for its original artwork, collectible stickers, and thoughtfully designed stationery that help inspire creativity and bring a little everyday joy to customers around the world.

“Getting to redraw such an iconic character in my own style was a dream come true,” said Pecca. “Strawberry Shortcake was a big part of many childhoods, and bringing her into the Hubman and Chubgirl world for our first licensed collection feels incredibly special. I hope fans have as much fun using these pieces as I had creating them.”

At the heart of the 23-piece collection is the artistry of Pecca, aka Chubgirl, who redrew the iconic character by hand for each unique design in the set. The result is a collection that blends Hubman and Chubgirl’s signature style with the nostalgia and charm of Strawberry Shortcake.

The collection includes vinyl sticker sheets, washi tape, planner sticker sheets, die-cut stickers, variety sticker sheets, a reusable sticker album, a memo pad, and more. Available individually or in the Strawberry Shortcake Box Set, the pieces in this collection are the perfect additions to every journal, planner, or sticker collection, said WildBrain’s franchise EVP, Ben Peace.

“Strawberry Shortcake continues to evolve beyond the screen into meaningful lifestyle categories,” Peace said. “Hubman and Chubgirl’s distinctive style make them an ideal partner to reinterpret Strawberry’s signature sweetness for both longtime fans and those discovering the brand for the first time.”
