The St. Louis CITY SC soccer club will hit the field wearing new jerseys that are ‘better than all the rest’ this season.
That’s because the club’s new jersey will honor the St. Louis musical superstar Tina Turner, one of the most popular female performers of all time.
The team just unveiled the limited-edition soccer jersey, created in partnership with adidas and BMG, the company that manages Turner’s music and image rights. The club describes it as the first adidas collaboration with a female music artist on a soccer kit.

Dubbed The Tina Turner Kit, the jersey will serve as the team’s secondary uniform for the 2026 and 2027 Major League Soccer seasons. The design features gold as its primary color — a nod to Turner’s stage costumes and performance style — with her silhouette rendered in metallic gold on the authentication tag and her signature printed in red.
Front-of-jersey sponsor Purina, sleeve sponsor BJC Healthcare, and an MLS/Apple TV patch also appear on the kit.
Turner, who was born Anna Mae Bullock, moved to St. Louis at age 16 and began performing in clubs across the region before establishing herself as a global music star.
“Not only did Tina Turner change music, she impacted culture over decades and continues to permeate it today,” said Carolyn Kindle, CEO of St. Louis CITY SC. “It is a profound honor to celebrate her influence and legacy. St. Louis has long been home to so many artists who have shaped music history and Tina stands at the top of that list.”
The kit launch is accompanied by a series of civic events. On February 15, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra will perform Eternal: A Tribute to Tina Turner, presented by Purina, at Powell Hall at the Jack C. Taylor Music Center. The concert will be led by SLSO Music Director Stéphane Denève and guest conductor Anthony Parnther, and will feature Grammy Award-winning artist Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, alongside St. Louis native Kennedy Holmes.

“St. Louis is a homecoming for Tina. It’s where she first felt the thrill of the stage and the joy of performing,” said Erwin Bach, Turner’s husband and manager. “I’m especially excited for the orchestral interpretation of ‘Proud Mary’ and the initiatives around town. Local kids will discover the power of music and how performance makes it even more meaningful.”
A Tina Turner pop-up shop running February 11–20 at City Foundry will sell the new kit and related limited-edition merchandise alongside a selection of artifacts from Turner’s personal collection, including one of her dresses and a Grammy Award.
The kit is also available at CITY Pavilion, CITY Goods inside Energizer Park, and online at stlcitygo.com. Free kit customization with a personalized name and number is available through March 31, 2026 on purchases made at the pop-up, CITY Pavilion, or online.
On the community side, St. Louis CITY SC is partnering with the Center of Creative Arts (COCA) to develop a Tina Turner-focused music curriculum for youth. Students will study Turner’s career, perform songs from her catalog, and learn choreography inspired by her performances. A portion of kit sales proceeds will fund the initiative.
The club will also host Tina Turner Night at Energizer Park on August 22, when St. Louis CITY SC faces the Houston Dynamo.
