The Girl Scouts are about more than just cookies; now they’ve got their own line of boots, courtesy of Western Chief.
The footwear company says it’s signed a deal with the Girl Scouts that pairs the organization’s adventurous spirit with Western Chief’s 130+ years of family footwear heritage and signature original prints.
The collection offers three styles for children and two styles for adults, including Matching Me coordinated boots.
But there is a definite cookie vibe. The Matching Me set called It’s Raining Cookies: Favorite Girl Scout Cookies are splashed across waterproof glossy Girl Scout Green, rubber mid-height rain boots.
“Girl Scouts of every age need to prepare for outdoor adventures in any type of weather. We are thrilled to work with a rainboot leader like Washington Shoe Company’s Western Chief to create a new collection: Girls Scouts x Western Chief,” says Brian Crawford, VP of Licensing, GSUSA. “Our boots will equip girls and women everywhere to embrace Girl Scout’s adventurous spirit, whether its running around the neighborhood, camping, back-to-school, making improvements in their neighborhood, or just puddle jumping.”
The deal was brokered by Earthbound LLC, the licensing agency for the Girl Scouts.
It entails a multi-year collaboration, and will see the Girls Scouts x Western Chief collection releasing additional footwear, seasonal items, accessories, and other items.
While the initial line of boots is available now, Crawford says additional Girls Scouts x Western Chief items will be added to the collection in Spring 2023 and beyond.
