Pocket.watch, a creator media company, announced Tuesday that it has hired Fernando Romero as president of brand and ad sales.
Romero brings 30 years of experience in media and advertising to the role, with a career spent connecting brands to audiences through streaming, retail media and creator content, according to the company.
He will lead Clock.Work, pocket.watch’s media and brand agency, which develops advertising solutions including creator integrations, custom content, sponsorships, YouTube audience development and paid digital media.
Pocket.watch has direct access to paid media on YouTube and YouTube Kids through a third-party ad sales partnership with Google, in addition to sales rights across its network of fast channels on services such as The Roku Channel and Samsung TV Plus.
“Fernando is exactly the kind of leader we want driving pocket.watch’s next phase of growth,” said Chris M. Williams, CEO and founder of pocket.watch. “He has spent his career building the infrastructure that connects premium content with the brands and platforms audiences care about most, from streaming to retail media to creator partnerships.
“That stellar expertise is a natural fit as we scale our creator network and expand into new commerce opportunities.”
Clock.Work essentially generates custom social media content for its partners. Its current brand partners include giants like Nintendo, Hasbro, Paramount Pictures, and Mattel.
For Universal Pictures’ “The Bad Guys 2,” the agency developed custom social content pairing studio intellectual property with creator-led storytelling to promote the film’s theatrical release, a campaign that was later shortlisted for Best Collaboration with an Influencer at the 2026 Global Social Media Awards.
Romero most recently served as senior vice president of U.S. digital advertising sales at TelevisaUnivision, where he oversaw more than $350 million in national digital advertising revenue across Vix, Univision, UniMás, TUDN, fast channels, Uforia Music and other digital businesses.
There, he developed early advertising partnerships spanning streaming, retail media and branded entertainment, including deals with Ensemble, Issa Rae’s branded entertainment company; The Home Depot’s Orange Apron Media; and United Airlines’ Kinective Media. He also helped launch Vix Micro, TelevisaUnivision’s mobile-first microdrama platform.
“Creators continue to expand their influence on how people discover and engage with entertainment, and pocket.watch is expanding what that can mean for brands,” Romero said.
“What really drew me to this opportunity is the combination of talent, content, media capabilities and distribution the company has built,” Romero added. “We can work with a brand around a single creator, activate talent and distribution at significant scale, build original content and IP, and reach audiences where they’re spending their time across YouTube, social, streaming and CTV. That allows us to build more meaningful brand partnerships that go well beyond traditional creator marketing and start to look much more like the future of media.”
Pocket.watch distributes creator content across more than 40 platforms worldwide, including Hulu, Disney+, Peacock, Paramount+, Amazon Prime Video, The Roku Channel, Tubi and Samsung TV Plus. The company has produced more than 20 creator-led original series and recently premiered “Rabbit Hole,” a creator-led variety series, on Disney+ and Hulu. The 10-episode half-hour series brought together 36 creators from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Twitch with a combined social following of 675 million, one of the largest ensemble casts assembled for a premium series. Amazon Studios also recently gave a full series order to pocket.watch’s “Love, Diana Music Hunters,” an animated series based on “Kids Diana Show.”
