Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WiT) has appointed five new members to its board of directors.
The WiT Foundation provides women with resources and opportunities related to the consumer products, licensing and entertainment industries.
The WiT nonprofit organization provides this support through events, education, and programming for industry professionals at all stages of their careers.
The five newly-appointed WiT board members include Deirdre Cross, Ehi Oviasu-Kahn, Lisa Gilbert, Menal McGrath, and Stephanie Bailey.
“We’re excited to welcome these five extraordinary women to our board,” said WiT president, Janice Ross. “Their strong and diverse set of skills, expertise and unique perspectives will enrich our board’s dynamics, and their outstanding dedication to all we do at WiT will be invaluable. We look forward to their contributions and collaboration as we navigate the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.”
Deidre Cross currently serves as general manager and head of the international board game developer, Funko Games. Ehi Oviasu-Kahn holds the position of principal at the toy design firm, Little Art.
Lisa Gilbert works as president of US & Canada commercial at the global toy company, Hasbro Inc. Menal McGrath serves as SVP of global licensing at the toy and home décor wholesaler, Dan Dee International. Stephanie Bailey works as VP of global toys at the media and entertainment company, Paramount.
These five experienced industry professionals will serve a three-year term on WiT’s board of directors. The three-year term will officially begin on July 1, 2023.
The WiT board of directors is responsible for shaping the nonprofit organization’s current and future programs, initiatives, and charitable goals.
The new members of the board will play a crucial role in furthering WiT’s mission to advance gender equality in toys, consumer products, licensing and entertainment.
