April 22, 2026

By Allison Watkinson

TLL Reporter

Panini America has secured a multi-year licensing partnership with WNBA star Sue Bird for exclusive autographed trading cards and memorability.

The licensed products will be featured across the company’s WNBA collections through its Prizm and Origins labels, as well as in select Panini marketing initiatives.

Additionally, Panini will serve as a sponsor of Sue Bird’s podcast, Bird’s Eye View.

“Collecting trading cards is another great way for fans to experience and engage with the WNBA and its athletes, and I am looking forward to collaborating with Panini in the years to come,” said Bird.

The first pick in the 2002 WNBA Draft by the Seattle Storm, Bird is the WNBA all-time leader in games played.

During her tenure in Seattle, Bird helped lead the Storm to four WNBA Championship wins before retiring from the team in 2023. She was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2025.

“Sue Bird is a legendary player who has had an incredible impact on the game over the years,” said Panini America marketing SVP, Jason Howarth. “We think that fans are really going to love her new autographed cards.”

Bird joins Panini America’s existing roster of WNBA partners which includes well-known players such as Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark, A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart and Paige Bueckers.

A subsidiary of The Panini Group, Panini America is a sports and entertainment collectibles company that serves as the official trading card partner of properties like the WNBA, NASCAR, FIFA, Disney, WNBPA, LIV Golf and many more.

The Panini Group operates a global distribution network that spans 150 countries worldwide.
