TMS Entertainment has renewed Reemsborko as its master licensee for the Baki anime brand in EMEA, Australia and New Zealand.
The renewed agreement between Reemsborko and TMS extends the licensing agency’s position as Baki’s master licensee for three additional years.
Reemsborko is a boutique licensing and brand extension agency that specializes in representing pop-culture and entertainment brands. The agency brings approximately 25 years of experience in the industry as a licensee, consultant and agent.
Based on an original manga series by Keisuke Itagaki, Baki is a Japanese anime series that is produced by TMS Entertainment and distributed on the Netflix streaming platform. The Baki franchise follows a martial artist and underground fighter named Baki Hanma as he works to grow his combat prowess.
Netflix currently offers three seasons of the first Baki anime series, and two seasons of the franchises’ sequel series, Baki Hanma. Since its Netflix debut in 2018, the Baki brand has established a significant presence on both digital platforms and in-person pop-culture conventions. This growth can be seen in the recent licensing collaboration between Baki and the nootropic energy powder brand, Player Ammo.
The Player Ammo x Baki product line has exceeded its expected sales numbers and the company is currently anticipating another year of robust performance for the licensing partnership.
“Baki has been a huge success for us, and we will soon expand with Baki Hanma products too,” said Player Ammo director, Mohammed Javed. “The overwhelming reaction from fans online and at the conventions is a testament to this anime’s growing popularity.”
Reemsborko intends to build on the Baki brand’s momentum in the coming years through new licensed collections in a variety of product categories.
