FIFA and Gamefam have launched an official FIFA World Cup 2026 event on Roblox, spanning six games on the platform and running through the end of the tournament next month.
The online World Cup tourney comes after multiple announcements of individual national teams mounting their own limited-time events inside FIFA Super Soccer on Roblox. Turns out, FIFA and Gamefam were just getting warmed up.
This event transforms FIFA Super Soccer into a World Cup 2026 hub featuring all 48 participating national teams, a tournament-themed stadium, gameplay quests, exclusive rewards and real-time integrations including live scores and standings. The activation began June 5 and runs through July 31.
Ricardo Briceno, CEO of Gamefam, said the platform’s reach makes it uniquely suited to the scale of the World Cup.
“The FIFA World Cup is one of the few moments where the entire world comes together — across countries, cultures and languages — and Roblox gives that global audience a shared language of play and community,” Briceno said. “As the action unfolds on the pitch, Gen Z and Alpha fans will come together across Roblox to participate in the action, represent their nations, and celebrate with friends in real time. That’s what makes immersive gaming so powerful: it turns global tentpole moments from passive to participatory, at massive scale.”
The event extends across a six-game crossover involving other Gamefam titles on the platform. The six games record a cumulative 28 million gameplay sessions per week. Gamefam describes the activation as one of the largest official sports events in Roblox’s history.
All 48 national teams competing in the World Cup, including reigning champion Argentina, will be playable in FIFA Super Soccer. The game’s Grand Stadium has been redesigned with a World Cup theme featuring national flags, sponsor branding on field adboards and video boards playing promotional content. Players can also complete connected quests across the six games to unlock limited-time digital rewards, including hats, goal celebrations, wristbands and shoes.
FIFA’s presence on Roblox has already surpassed 1.1 billion visits, with FIFA Super Soccer averaging 1.5 million daily gameplay sessions. The game has previously hosted brand activations from Adidas, the Brazilian Football Confederation, U.S. Soccer and Borussia Dortmund.
Christian Volk, director of gaming and esports at FIFA, said the event is designed to draw younger fans into the tournament experience.
“FIFA World Cup 2026 will be the biggest FIFA World Cup ever, and we want fans everywhere to feel part of that excitement before, during and after the matches,” Volk said. “This Roblox event gives a new generation of fans a fun, accessible and interactive way to connect with the tournament — from being able to play as one of the 48 national teams in FIFA Super Soccer to celebrating real-world moments with friends through live events, quests and rewards. FIFA is excited to collaborate with Gamefam and continue to expand our exciting football gaming portfolio.”
The event is free to access on consoles, PCs, mobile devices and tablets. FIFA Super Soccer will continue operating as FIFA’s permanent home on Roblox after the event concludes.
